Environmental Policy

On behalf of the management and staff of Second Time Office Equipment we want to take the opportunity to ensure our clients and the community of our strong commitment to operate in an environmentally responsible and conscious manner.

Second Time Office Equipment is committed to an effective environmental management system that ensures implementation of the following commitments:

Compliance

Compliance with applicable environmental legislation and regulatory requirements. We support the OECD, signed by Canada and many other countries including China, which makes it illegal to send any electronic scrap/waste to other countries. This includes TV’s, monitors and other electronic scrap.

Communication

Ensure that all employees at all levels are made aware of and are actively involved in the environmental policy and programs through appropriate training and information.


Continual Research and Improvement

The Management Team of Second Time Office Equipment actively researches and implements ways to improve the environment management system. A 0% discharge policy of all accepted materials will be maintained.

Prevention of Pollution

Use processes, materials or products that avoid, reduce or control pollution.

Investigation

All downstream vendors are interviewed, assessed or their facility inspected by Second Time Office Equipment Management to ensure environmental compliance through to the final processing and disposition. Whenever possible, priority is given to firms with ISO certification.

Where applicable for secondary refining or wholesale, materials are only sent to facilities within North America meeting necessary environmental regulations.
